Candied Peanuts

Candied peanuts are the perfect appetiser. Nuts are a light snack so they won't leave your guests with no room for the main course! Try walnuts, macadamias or a mixture of nuts for a bit of variation.
Ingredients

| 2 cups | Blanched peanuts |
| 1¼ cups | Sugar |
| ½ cup | Water |
| 1 tsp | Sea salt |
| 1 tsp | Cinnamon |
Directions
1. In a wide, heavy frying pan, mix the peanuts with the sugar and water. Cook the ingredients over moderate heat. Stir frequently, until the liquid dries up.
2. Using a metal spoon, keep stirring and scraping the pan over a low heat until the peanuts are golden brown.
3. Remove from the heat and then sprinkle with salt and cinnamon.
4. Toss nuts for a further 5 minutes as they cool.
