Spicy chocolate brunch hot cakes

Directions

  1. Sift flour, baking powder, cocoa and mixed spice into a bowl. Beat eggs, sugar and buttermilk together. Make a well in the dry ingredients. Add egg mixture and combine well.
  2. Grease a large frying pan and cook ¼ cupfuls of mixture. Turn once to cook second side. Keep warm while cooking remaining mixture. Peel bananas and cut in half lengthwise and cook in frying pan until golden.
  3. Serve hot cakes with bananas, blueberries and maple syrup.
